“I love the Angelbound Origins world and just can’t seem to get enough of it!”The Avid Reader
As the Great Scala, Myla Lewis is the only being who can move Purgatory’s souls to Heaven or Hell. It’s a big job. Too bad Myla goes through assistants faster than a hot knife through brownies. Not that it bothers her much; Myla’s always been a solo fighter.
Then comes the problem of the fading angels. Millions of Heavenly residents are dying. According to a prophecy, the only way Myla can save them is by traveling back in time, meeting King Arthur, and creating her own knights of the round table. The catch? Doing so might end the after-realms in a bloody demonpocalypse.
Yipes.
Myla and her main squeeze, Lincoln, aren’t afraid of taking a few chances (in between kisses). But with so much at risk, the stakes may be too high, even for them. And the biggest challenge of all? Finding those knights.
Because Myla Lewis doesn’t play well with others. At all.
“These books don’t just capture your attention, they straight up demand it. Christina Bauer has created a fascinating and unique world that you do not want to miss out on.” – Bookhalolic Brittany

Let’s start with, how are you this fine day?
I just had an allergy test where they pricked up my arm and made me itch like Hell. TMI? Too late now :)

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
I build out inspiration boards on my Pinterest page. I now have hundreds of boards and thousands of pins. It may be a problem.

When did you write your first book and how old were you?
My first book was Bill the Balloon and I wrote it when I was maybe nine? It was a blatant rip-off of my wacky grandpa Jack.

What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I read, goof around with my son, and go to movies with my husband. There’s also the huge task of supporting my writing as a business, so that’s a big time suck!

What does your family think of your writing?
My husband and son like that it makes me happy. After doing both a day job and writing, I’m even happier now that I’m a full-time author!

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
Each novel has its own set of things that I learn as an author, only I don’t know what they are until it’s all over, if that makes sense!

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
This launch tour for THE BRUTAL TIME marks book number 25! Picking a favorite is always tough, but if I had to choose, it would be Angelbound Book One.

Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
I’m very active on social media and have a close-knit group of readers that I chat with regularly. I share goofy stuff; they give opinions. I love love LOVE to hear from folks! Here’s how to get in touch:

Have you even been sent fan art?
Oh, yes! I love it! I’ve gotten many pictures. One guy is even working on a mech version of one of my characters, which as I understand it is a robot doll. Want!

What do you think makes a good story?
The way I see it, there’s literature with a capital L, which is about making statements on society vis-à-vis the huge canon of anointed and official books. I write things that allow you to escape from life, visit another world, and have some fun. Happy endings only!

As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up?
An author, always. Some of my earliest memories are of people telling me I’d never make any money doing it. Meh.

What is that one weird quirk about yourself, that no one else knows?
I have an overly large collection of sarcastic socks.

If you had your time back what would you tell yourself about writing?
Keep at it. You’re awesome. And it’s okay to suck for a long time.

Last but not least,

What advice would you give aspiring writers?
Your voice and stories are unique. Only you can give them to the world.

Thank you for answers my questions
Thanks for having me by! I hope to see you on a future tour!

Christina Bauer thinks that fantasy books are like bacon: they just make life better. All of which is why she writes romance novels that feature demons, dragons, wizards, witches, elves, elementals, and a bunch of random stuff that she brainstorms while riding the Boston T. Oh, and she includes lots of humor and kick-ass chicks, too.
Christina graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School with BA’s in English along with Television, Radio, and Film Production. She lives in Newton, MA with her husband, son, and semi-insane golden retriever, Ruby.
