Fiona Reynolds is my other half.
It’s been that way from the day I was born.
I’ve dedicated my life to keep my promise.
Fate just laughs in our face.
She’s always out of reach, this time for good.
I’ll do anything to prove she’s my destiny.
If only she’d trust me one more time. After what I’ve done, how can I deserve him?
Zane Rocks is my everything.
There’s no one I love or trust more than him.
It wasn’t his fault when he left me.
I always knew he’d find his way back.
Fear overwhelmed me, and I broke his heart.
Will most celebrated musician on the planet.
Really give me another chance? When a rash decision changes their lives forever, hope for their future is all but shattered.
Stakes are high.
But Zane’s determined to prove a love this pure is timeless.
I’ve always been very artistic and creative. I draw, paint, do textiles, crafts, and am also a huge fan of pop culture. Writing is something I’ve always done in my other career and becoming a novelist has made it my first love of all the creative mediums.
Where do you like to write?
I write wherever I can find time. At home, stealing a couple hours after everyone leaves the office, on vacation - wherever I can bring my laptop.
Is writing everything you thought it would be?
It’s a lot more. I never realized how cathartic and therapeutic it would be.
Who is/was your favourite character to write about?
Whoever I’m writing about at the moment is my favorite. They are all unique and special to me but the character who intrigues me the most is probably Carter, because he’s so incredibly flawed but is earnest in his quest to do better.
How do you form your story ideas?
I generally have an idea of where the story is going to go and then usually the characters send me on a completely different path. Oftentimes the fine details of the story reveal themselves as I write.
Do you keep notes during the day? (In case something inspires you or, if you had a lively conversation and thought, “Hey that would be great in a book.”)
No, but that’s a great idea! I should take that up.
Do you write in one sitting or in bursts?
I try really hard to stick to a daily writing goal of 2,000 words a day whether that’s in bursts or in one sitting.
What was the last book you read? Did it live up to your expectations?
For the past month I’ve been reading Crystal Kaswell’s Inked --- and I’ve really enjoyed her series.
What are some of your most difficult parts to write?
Making sure the characters have believable obstacles to overcome. Obstacles that seem fresh and relevant rather than gimmicky.
Did this book follow your original plan? Or did it turn into something completely different?
Without giving away any spoilers, Fiona's life takes an unexpected turn that I originally thought would happen a different way.
Did your characters ever stop talking to you at any point in your writing?
No. Just like real people, they have quieter days and sometimes they are very, very loud.
Was it hard to stay motivated during your writing process? What were some of your go-to strategies to stay on point?
I need to have deadlines to work against which is why I implemented my 2,000 words a day goal. I’m actually very motivated to write because this excites me! It’s just about finding stretches of time to get in the zone!
Do you have a playlist for this book? Or any song that helped you develop a perticital scene?
We don’t have book playlists - yet - stay tuned but I would say the theme song for TIMELESS is definitely “Stay” by Rihanna.
Lastly, what is one key piece of advice you would give to anyone wishing to go down the writing path?
If you’re going to be a self published author, you should look into what it really take to get your book out there to your audience because a lot of what makes you accessible to readers is your availability to
