The Aermian Feuds Series

Rebel's Blade (The Aermian Feuds, #1)Rebel's Blade
by Frost Kay
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

( I received this book free in exchange for my honest review )

This book has rekindled my love for medieval fantasy. Mostly because I'm a fan of all things modern, like running water. That and they treated woman like shit, so, I'm not drawn to those types of books, mostly because I get pissed off. But Frost has giving me a kick ass female lead, that I would work with any day.

Sage (that's the name of my girl cat, she's a feisty one as well) she's a tom-boy, plain and simple, though naive, I'm not sure I like how she jumped into being a rebel so fast. I get that they're city has down the drank, but in my option she jumped in to fast without all the facts. I'm never on the rebel's side, not until sold proof has been presented. She has a big mouth on her, she isn't afraid to die for her cause, and she's a awkward fool. I've grown quite attacked to her.

But, my god, the book had me on my nose. It would be going one way then dam, nope not what you thought. The pacing was okay, though did slow about 60% in, not by much, but it was a nice breather before the hell storm that was to follow. My heart, I need to stop reading books that rip it out. I'm not going to survive this year.

And that ending!!!! !!!!

I can't even..., if I start I'll be here all day and I might start screaming. My soul, my poor, poor soul.

I highly recommend this book. It will have you hooked from start to finish, then have you reaching for more. It's a sold debut novel that shows, no, it promises us, that things will only get more epic from here.

Crown's Shield (The Aermian Feuds, #2)Crown's Shield
by Frost Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Frost Key’s Crown Shield is a heart retrenching story about how the wold as you see it isn’t always black and white. Picking up from where Rebels’ Blade ended, we are trusted back into this enchanting world, like a gun shot.

I was slacked jawed by the first book, the cliff-hanger was movie worthy and Sage, she is by far one of my most favourite heroines of all time. This book has outshined its predecessor, and has set the stage for an epic explosive next installment that I can’t wait to get my hands on.

There is so much I want to say, to spill.. to spoil. But, as I do with most second books, I keep it to the structure. There are too many things that can spoil the first book from the seconds review. And that my friends isn’t something I want to do.

The flow is faster then the first, but there is an undertone of something dark lurking in the shadows. Trust is a hard thing to come by, and finding the truth isn’t always satisfying. I do have my theories, just pulling from my own military background. (One day I might, divulge them, but for now I’ll keep my working theory to myself) There are so many twist, turns and just heartbreaking movements that takes you from one extreme to the next.

Oh and that ending… that freaking ending! How am I going to get through? I need answers.

Take my word, and my high recommending that this series is something you need to read. Outside of the solid plot, dark undertones and pending war, there is a rich, lifeness to these characters that captures you, connects you to their world. You will not feel the same after reading. Be warned.

Happy Reading.

Siren's Lure (The Aermian Feuds #2.5)Siren's Lure
by Frost Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Forst Kay Siren's Lure is the perfect prequel to her incredible Aermian Feuds series. This short fast read explores the darker side of the worlds Frost has created. We are also introduced to paranormal creatures and the magical side of Aermian that isn't touch upon in the moan series, as of yet. It's a look at what's to come, where the main series is going, and it's also where I believe the rebellions truly starts.

I loved everything about this short, I love how Frost makes her characters jump off the pages. They are full of life, sorrow and fight. She somehow captures realistic raw emotions that has you holding your breath and gripping your seat.

Weather you read this book before or after the main series, it is a must read. As I've said, it's a fast pace, thrill ride that will have you looking at Aeriman through a different colour glass. Nothing is what is seems and nothing is ever black and white.

Enemy's Queen (The Aermian Feuds, #3)Enemy's Queen
by Frost Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enemy's Queen: The Aermian Feuds Book Three by Frost Kay has surpassed it's sister installments, with more action, more drama, more darkness and of course, more epic characters interactions.

I'm not going to tell you anything about this book, it is the third book in and outstanding series and, I'm not going to spoil it for you. But I will tell you how heart clenching this book is, how the pacing has you on pins and needles. Sure it did feel slow in some places, but for me I felt it added to the suspense. When done right it adds to the plot and danger, and Mrs Kay has done it right!

Sage and Thel, they are a powerful team and I love them. That's all I'm going to touch on because their journey in this book is too magnificent to spoil.

Overall this book is simply put, amazing. This series is amazing, I love everything about it and more. There are few epic fantasy series out that that can keep it's pace and plot flowing smoothly. The Aermian Feuds books do all that, and they just keep getting better, darker and sinister. I can't wait to read more, because this wasn't the end.

I hight recommend you get your hand on this series. You will not regreat it.

King's Warrior (The Aermian Feuds #4)King's Warrior
by Frost Kay
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My, my, my... this series just keeps getting better and better!

I'm not going to say anything about the plot, because this is a continuation series and I don't want to spoil past books. But I will tell you that the writing is just as solid, detail and gripping as the others. But this book, is darker, and it has some triggering moments. So I will give you fair warning that there are scenes that aren't for the faint of heart, and depicts assault.

With that said, I'm going to leave you with my overall thoughts of this book. It was for me, the best so far. This series is taking a turn that you don't see coming; and frankly, I like it. I can't wait for the next book, because, this series is breaking all the rules, turning trops and cliché's on their heads, and giving you fresh original material, that keeps you not only engaging, but wanting, no needing more. It's that books that you didn't know you needed, and hooks you like a drug.

This book, this series, gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Happy Reading
