Rocky River Fighters Series

Heart of a Fighter (Rocky River Fighters #1)Heart of a Fighter
by Grace Brennan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Heart of a Fighter: A Paranormal Shifter Romance (Rocky River Fighters Book 1) by Grace Brennan was a fast pace suspenseful read that had me glued to the pages from start to finish.

A rather short read, I was impressed with the ample amount of character growth from out two mains. This did take away from side characters interactions, but there was enough that I wasn't feeling like they where Dd, or place just for the sake of having side characters.

I liked Cammie, he had a good head on her shoulders and didn't suffer from the dreaded TSTL trope that pleads strong willed UF characters. She thinks on her feet, trusts her gut and refuses to be the damsel in destress. She's everything I love in strong MC's.

Alex, finally the nice guy wins.. need I say more. It was nice to read a book where the male MC wasn't a alpha male door kicker. He fit Cammie perfectly, and it warms my heart the lengths he went for her. There was no useless fighting, or the need to create drama. Alex, you're the man..

My final thoughts? I highly recommend you get your hands on this book. Especially if you love shifters. I love finding new takes and ideas. This book brings you into a new shifter world, with more action then others. The climax of this book was epic, like I said there was no damsel. Just a kickass heroin as a badass dragon! There is enough open endings to move this story alone over into the next. That I can't wait to read!

I can't stress enough how much good there is in this book. I'm invested in this world!

Fighting for Keeps (Rocky River Fighters #2)Fighting for Keeps
by Grace Brennan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fighting for Keeps: A Paranormal Shifter Romance (Rocky River Fighters Book 2) by Grace Brennan was another epic win in this steadily growing unique shifter series.

Though this is book two, it can be read as a stand-a-long. Reading book one will give you some more insight into Seth, that and if you want to get to know the side characters a little better. Or you can just read the first book cause it's amazing.

As with the first book, the writing is on point, and the flow was steady. I'm not going to give anything away, as there are some secretes in Seth's and Amelia's world. I will say that I loved reading about them and watching them bond. Sure there was some insta-lust, but that made it all the more fun. I liked Seth from the first book, but I'm glade I got to know more about him in this one. There's more to him then what was showcased, and he is one my favourites. (Adding him to my list....;p)

Amelia, she grew on me, wasn't a fan at the start, but as I said, she did grow on me as the story went on. Her and Seth complemented each other. They worked though out it, and I'm glad they ended on a happy note.

My final thoughts, I highly recommend you pick up this series. It's unique, sexy, and well written. It match the first book, sex men, quick action and mystery. Pick up this series, you will not regret it.

Fight Song (Rocky River Fighters #3)Fight Song
by Grace Brennan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fight Song: A Paranormal Shifter Romance (Rocky River Fighters #3) by Grace Brennan was another heart string pulling, hot steamy read, with just enough action to push it over the edge.

Every time I read one of these book I get all giddy and excited. I love the characters, the interactions and I love how multi layered the characters are. I particularly liked the romance in this instalment. This was not a insta-love situation, it was deeper, older and much more complicated. Emotions where rung on high, and it gave the story a darker, more sinister edge than it's counterparts.

To keep everything a mystery for you, I'm going to stop there with my story analysis. I'm going to switch to the aesthetics. This well written tale with smooth writing, easy to follow plot, with engaging interesting dialogue. Characters interactions were realistic and felt natural. The world building was detailed and stimulating. Told in dual POV, I got captured by this story, and didn't want to leave.

Though this the third book, it can be read as a stand alone, but I do suggest you read the other books, just to get more background on the core characters. That and, they are amazing.

I highly recommend you get your hands on this series, this book. Take my word that you will fall deep for this group of shifters and their mix-match clan.

Fighting to Win (Rocky River Fighters #4)Fighting to Win
by Grace Brennan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Fighting to Win: A Paranormal Shifter Romance (Rocky River Fighters Book 4) by Grace Brennan was just as good as the other books, but this one, for me, topped them all.

I've been waiting for Ian's story, right from the first book, Ian was one of my favourites and I needed to know more about him. Finally, Finally, it's all about Ian.. well, and Holly and of course the adorable Shelby. Okay it wasn't all about them, because if you've read the other books you know something dark is going down, and of course our fighters are right there to make sure nothing hurts their pace, town and families.

Back to the story, like the other books, this is written in dual POV. We are in both Ian's and Holly's heads, giving us that little something extra, and of course making you frustrate cause you know they both want eachother, and are dancing around it. (Not for long mind you.. cause Ian.. need I say more) I loved watching them fall, connected and of course..... smut.

Now as much as I want to gush about the darker plot and the heavy pressure of dread that is in this books undertone. I'm going to be my sweet self and leave you hanging, cause to get the true effect you need to read this book, and it's counterparts. Though these can be read as stand-a-longs I highly suggest you read them in order.

With that, let me tell you one last important thing....... I highly recommend you get your hands on this outstanding series! Do it, I know you want to!

Happy Reading
