( I received this book free from the author in exchange for my honest review )

I don’t know what to say, the way I feel about this book is something I have yet to sort out in my head. To be honest this book has surpassed the other instalments not only in story telling and plot, but in characters.

We’re giving a look into Ronan’s head, he’s fight and his love for Grazi. In my option, I felt that he grew the most. He transcended from a angry teen boy who didn’t like not getting his way, to a man. He learned to put aside his own prejudice and listen. That’s a hard thing to do when you’re condition to believe in something without question. The council be damned, I’m hoping that they get eaten or better yet one of them gets turned and kills the rest. Burn Mother fuckers, burn

Grazi came into her own, she finally excepted who and what she is and, I was happy to read less about her putting herself down and more about how she was going to kill the witches. She grew up, she stopped making decision based around teenage ageist and stated looking at the situation like adult, thus making adult decisions. She stuck her to beliefs, her reasons and in the end the most important thing, she made a decision and stuck with it. One of the most important things when becoming a leader. She’s the start of something amazing, and I can’t wait to see where this story takes her.

The ending, my god, I nearly died. I can’t give anything away, but damn it, I had a feeling something similar would happened involving her brother, but not what C.D. Gorri conjured up. In truth it was bittersweet, but in saying that, it’s a open ending with so many questions yet to be answered. This is not the last we’ll see of Grazi.

There is also a surprise treat, so if you haven’t read Casting Magic yet, I highly recommend you do. *wink, wink ;)

I’m not going to over annualize this book, as it isn’t just a stand alone but a part of three other books that holds a key to the next. This book is magical, original and simply put, a hidden gem.

I recommend this series to everyone, this story isn’t a cookie cutter copy of YA that’s been littering our books stores. You’ll get lost in Grazi’s world, you will invest in her world like none other; seeing what she sees and feeling what she feels. Take a chance on this one of a kind read, you will not be disappointed.

Happy Reading
