Review: The Lost Knight ★★★★☆

The Lost Knight (Lost Knight, #1)The Lost Knight

My Rating: 4 of 5 stars

( I received this book free from the Author In exchange for my honest review )

My first impression of this book wasn't all that great. It started out on a weird note and then it jumped right into the action. I was a little confused at first; but I liked fast pace. It went right into the drama, action and the good old run for your life montage in the first few chapters. I was hooked. But, and there is a but, it slowed down. It went from Jason Bourne to driving Miss Daisy. You know what I'm talking about, info dump, like I'm talking, boom there it is.

I get that there needs to be some background but I was hoping it would be feed on the fly, and well I just wasn't expecting the story to slow that much after such a big kick off.

This wasn't a major problem, because this book is full of action, mystery and magic. I was just put off by that little scene.

In all, I did love this book. It’s original, it didn't waist anytime in the real world. I like that we didn't have to go through chapters of boring school life before getting to the meat. The tone of this book puts you on edge, and it stays with you until the end. Oh and the end, I'm still reeling from that ending. I need more!

I highly recommend this book. It's a new take on magic, fantasy and what it is to find out that our not as human as you thought. I can’t wait for the next!

Happy Reading
