Deep feels for this book.

I've never been much for a heavily religious themed books, but this one does it so well that I didn't even notice, all to much.

This is an original story that takes you on a heart string pulling journey, through what is sin and what we think we know about it. The opening, that opening, it pulled hard at my heart strings. Even if it did fell into the overused cliche of getting ride of the parents, it got me right in the feels. As opening goes, this on is a 8 out of 10.

The writing at times, was jumpy and a little unsteady, but not enough to spoil the story. It was mostly in the beginning. The plot was solid, strong and as I said original. There is a lot of character growth through out this read, especially in Nicholas. He had to over come so much, and push past fears that would have made grownups run and hid. I liked him, and I'm happy for him.

In truth there are parts in this book that will probably give me nightmares. :p

I highly recommend this book, it sharp, dark, and pulls at the heart like no other. As I said, though it is heavy on the religion you don't notice as much as you would think, as the story captivates you and keeps you reading until that uncertain end.

Thank you Net galley for giving me the change to read this marvel, that was out of my comfort zone.

Happy Reading
