Oh wow, this book made me forget about the bad day I was having. Right form the get go it was a fun fresh read that had me hooked. This is a short read, but worth it. The characters have spice, the romance is hot, and sweet. The overall story is believable and simply put, good.
We have Tessa, she’s a bit shy, aloof, and clumsy. I didn’t like the clumsy bit, don’t get me wrong, I have nothing agents clumsy people, I myself can trip over air.(Not kidding here, I could win the clumsy Olympics) It’s to me an over user troup that needs to be stopped. It falls under the whole (clumsy is cute/stupid is cute) truop that seems to still be pledging books and TV for years. There are others way to make a girl unique without dumbing her down. Not saying you can’t toss in a clumsy moment here and there, because that’s life, but it shouldn’t have to be the selling point.
I love Tessa, but the only thing that I pint point when I remember her, is her falling on her ass in the mascot costume and her legs failing about. I would rather remember the moment she hit the kidnapper in the eye with the shoe. Instead it got told second hand. The frame you can say, cuts off. These are the things that makes the heroin more than a sack of beautiful skin. This in turn tells me she’s a fighter, she wasn’t going to stand by and let herself be taken. And if so she was going to cause that MF as much pain as possible.
Other than that small character flaw, I loved this book.
I highly recommend it, as I said, its pack full of meat. It gets to the point, doesn’t liner on anything useless and it makes you feel like you’re watching a relaxing romcom. My favourite was when she took control, she was the one that instigated the sexy bits and she was the one that in the end saved the day. Tessa is an amazing female lead and I wish there were more like her.
I would like to thank Edie Hart for reaching out and inviting me to read this wonderful story.
Happy Reading
