No one should ever go into the woods alone.

Brielle has grown up listening to tales of a beast that attacks humans, leaving behind only a scattering of bones and limbs. It’s probably the elders’ way of keeping little children in line, but it doesn’t explain her grisly premonitions of blood, claws, and severed heads.

But when Brielle finds a mangled body in the woods, she begins to wonder if the grim stories may actually be true. Soon, Lord Kenrick, Knight of the Crowhurst Order, arrives asking questions about the legendary monster. Brielle’s attraction to him is immediate and undeniable. She volunteers to help him search for clues to the creature’s existence, despite her suspicions about his timing.

As her seventeenth birthday approaches, Brielle’s nightmares worsen and more villagers go missing. If Brielle doesn’t figure out the connection between Kenrick, the beast, and her visions, more people will die. As Brielle falls deeper in love with Kenrick and deeper into the snares of the abominable beast, she’ll become part of a legend so great, no one will ever question its validity again.

Let’s start with, how are you this find day?
Doing well! Currently at the day job on break…

Where do you get your information or ideas for your books?
Kind of from all over the place. Sometimes I’ll have a title pop into my head and I’m like: “OMG, what kind of story can I create around this?” Other times it’s from strange things. Like I once got an idea from a spam email. LOL.

When did you write your first book and how old were you?
Well my first book (if we’re talking unpublished) was in 4th grade. LOL. But my first published book was when I was in my 30s.

What do you like to do when you're not writing?
I have an obsession with all things Kpop and Kdrama (Korean pop music and Korean Dramas). I’m pretty active online support my favorite Kpop group GOT7. I also hang out with my family and pets, read, sing, watch soccer, football, or take walks.

What does your family think of your writing?
They think it’s cool. My kids are kind of like “Meh, it’s my mom, no big deal.” LOL. But they’re all really supportive.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
Ah, I think I learn something new every time I write one. With Legend of Me, it’s that writing a sad scene can make me cry my face off. LOL.

How many books have you written? Which is your favorite?
I’ve written LOTS of books, but I think I have 12 published books (including Legend of Me), and another one under contract that’s written, which will be 13, but yeah, lots of other ones that will never see the light of day. I also had another published one, from a publisher that went out of business, so I guess that would put me at 14…

Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?
I do get emails from my readers or tweets. They’re always so nice and encouraging. I had one that wrote to tell me she was going to name her son after one of my characters.

Have you even been sent fan art?
Well, kind of. I had a reader who had designed a sword for a class project based off a sword in my Winter People Series.

What do you think makes a good story?
One where you can fall into the book and get lost—where you feel like the characters are your friends and you care about them.

As a child, what did you want to do when you grew up? Other than a writer?
I wanted to be Princess Leia (from Star Wars).

What is that one weird quirk about yourself, that no one else knows?
OMG, um, I collect both Kpop (GOT7) merchandise/posters/Albums and also Star Wars merchandise (hahaha).

If you had your time back what would you tell yourself about writing?
That it won’t always be an easy road, but to keep at it.

Last but not least,

What advice would you give aspiring writers?
Have thick skin and NEVER give up!!! Always work at honing your craft and remember that every book you write is helping you to become better!

Thank you for answers my questions
