Holy hell, I devoured this book like chocolate cheesecake. It's been sometime where Ive read a book in less then a day or one that made me zone out to the point where my instructor suddenly appeared in the classroom with a test. (I'm on a career course right now, we were on brake waiting for him to come from another school) Needless to say, but this book was fan-freaking-tastic!!!
Ari, she's amazing, simply freaking amazing. Snarky, witty, smart and strong. She's everything I've waited for in a YA heroin. She didn't let the mean girl bully her, she didn't let her insta-love drag her down. She knew what she was, she a trained killer, there was no brewing bad boy who knew everything about her and, she was mysterious as she was cold. I love reading about her fight scenes, I got a mad girl-crush. She actually remained me of Colonel Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist.
I'm quite flabbergasted, why? Well dear readings, I never once got annoyed with her, and I tell you, in all the years I have been reading, at one point or another I've gotten annoyed at every protagonist I've had the pleasure of reading about. Every time I thought a cliché situation or response was coming, Ari would open her mouth and pre magic would happen. I have so many favourite quotes, and snaky comebacks form her that I'm probably going to steal some to use in real life. I'll give you the first one that pull at my saucy strings.
“Forgive me for sounding like I’m stuck on repeat, but I. Don’t. Care.”
Oh, my snarky heart just warmed.
Lets move on to Shane, he was cool. I have to say, I was happy to read about a hot male lead that knew he was hot and was completely devoted to showing it off. He wasn't mean, he treated the girls he flittered with, with respect and just thrived having a bunch of girls swoon over him everyday. He also had this cheesy air about him, and by god it worked.
My fav scene was half way through, but I can't tell you what it was, because it will ruin the epicness. But hot damn, it was bloody and marvelous. I can rant all day about what I love about this book; but I'll take my leave, because if I keep going I might spoil this epic hot mess of action.
You don't have to guess but I highly recommend this book; it was fun, witty, fast pace, bloody, brutal and hot, hot, hot!!! I can't wait to dive into book two!
Happy Reading

PS: One more quote for a road.
"She paused in the doorway, tipping her head to consider Brittany, who only glared. "You're right. I think most girls don't look like the tooth fairy dresses them every day." She turned with a smirk.”
