4.5 Stars!

I am having trouble starting this review, my mind in a jumbled as I sift through the epicenes that is this book. I have always been a fan of time travel and how if you think about it too much, it just gives you a headache and the utter sense of confusion. Jones Lee has taken that confusion and has built a distinctive world with rules and foreboding.

We start with Carter, he awaked in a unknown place and time, at first you’re like, oh he's getting up for school, until he reveals that his a leaper, and has leapt back in time.

From that moment I was hooked. I had to know about this world and Carters powers.

The building of the world and the rules were never confusing, information was straight up, and for once the parents weren't useless side charters that seem to disappear as soon as the action starts. No, Carters mother was in it 100%. And she is by far one of my favorite people in this book.

Major, don't read if you want to ruin the ending.
(But you had to kill her, really! She's a cool mom. She better have some type of cameo in the next book,)

There are some aspects of the book its best not to think to hard on. It goes with the whole people getting trapped in the wrong time period, and yeah, it's best not to hurt your head and just go with it.

Carter is the boy next-door, all for he isn't an asshat. He's a good kid, follows the rules, (for the most part) isn’t afraid to cry, and you can't hate him. Most times I have issues with the male lead/love interest. Why? Because most times their conceited assholes, that have never heard the word, no before.

Carter does have a love interest, well more than a love interest, but he isn't consumed by it, and doesn't let it cloud his thoughts.

The plot twist! Oh buddy, once that happen there was no stopping me from finishing.

I can't tell you want it is, but I seriously, I didn't see that coming. I had a feeling, but not the twist that took place.

Mind blown.

I highly recommend this book; it's fast pace, and intricate in its ability to build a comprehensive world of time travel that doesn’t leave you confused. And the fight scenes, wow, just wow.

Thank you Jonas Lee for giving me the opportunity to read and review this masterful book, I can't wait for the next installment.

Happy reading

-Emily
